Checking out
Bad attitude of staff, reception girl surly, staff to busy talking to serve us in the bar, old unkempt rooms, staff eating on duty, cokes breakfast at reception, girl eating as we are checking out. Poor choice of food on menu, badly presented, dirty chi Ed plates etc etc etc..

Absolutely fantastic breakfast with lots of outstanding foods. Unbeatable and stunning traditional hotel location not far from centre of Stockbridge, a conservatory surrounded by an a pleasant garden, and the restaurant and bar. Also, in the refreshed public areas.

The location was lovely and stunning, relatively close to Old St Peter's Church. A market and little stores were right next door. The restaurant was clean with a very good menu, and we ordered delightful dishes.

Too hot in the room, the very hot bathroom radiator could not be switched off. The kettle had to be plugged in at floor level, because with the other sockets there was nowhere to stand the kettle. There appeared to be a shortage of staff in the restaurant at breakfast time.

Too expensive for a very basic room and have to wait to give breakfast. Plus, you feel claustrofobic going to those narrows corridors after 5 doors...

There is a bright and well-decorated place with extremely helpful staff who went above and beyond to fulfill all our requests and served delicious breakfasts, although the toast was a bit plain.
